Course objective
Getting familiar with emotions in individual and social settings, body location, coping and some cross-cultural comparisons. Motivation concerns enterpreneurial strivings in time perspective
Basic knowledge on emotions and motivation, reading and speaking English, ability to read empirical articles, present material and own knowledge, communicate with others on the topic in class
Learning outcomes
Broader knowledge on emotions and motivation, understanding emotional expression, defining personal goals and motives of enterpreneurial activity
Teaching method
Classes are kept in an interactive conversatorium mode. Students are supplied with texts, chosen by lecturer or suggested by participants, inparticular by those coming from other countries. Each student is due of written essays on selected topic or presenting his/her own finding in the literature
Course content description
Course covers: asymmetry of emotions; selected positive and negative emotions, theory, research and results, cultural location of emotions in the body. Cognitive approach to motivation, future time perspective and goal setting, achievement in atributional approach
Forms of assessment
Participation i the class, presenting selected topic (e.g. based on own short research), written 2 essays. Final evaluaton consists of 30% of activity in class, and 2x35% for essays
