Cele przedmiotu
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basics of European Union Law: EU institutions, sources of EU law and the relationship between EU and national legal orders.
Wymagania wstępne
This is introductory EU Law course for non-law students.

Metody dydaktyczne
The basic method in the research work will be legal analysis of the provisions of the EU Law and studying fundamental judgments delivered by the European Court of Justice.

Case Law: Protection of Fundamental Rights in the European Union
Case Law: Free movement of Goods
Case Law: Free movement of Persons

Kryteria oceny i sposoby weryfikacji zakładanych efektów kształcenia

1. Attendance. Student may leave maximum 2 classes. All absences shall be justified or worked off during office hours.
2. Passing all colloquiums (obtaining minimum 50% points per each)
Above conditions shall be complied cumulatively.


25 pts – First Written Colloquium
15 pts – Second Written Colloquium
35 pts – Oral Colloquium
15 pts – Group exercise. Case assignment
5 pts – Activity during classes (within each class student can get 1 pt. but not more than 10 in total)
5 pts – full attendance

90 – 100 pts - bdb (5,0)
83 – 89 pts - plus db (4,5)
68 – 82 pts - bd (4,0)
60 – 67 pts - plus dst. (3,5)
50 – 59 pts - dst. (3,0)
