Course objective
C1 Presentation of selected issues of special education in personalistic approach and international context
C2 Creating attitude of understanding disorders, disability and handicaps in biological, psychological and social dimensions
C3 Presenting ways of achieving skills enabling the students application of the disability theory into academic research in this field
Prerequisites
Students should speak English at level B2 or higher
Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE
1. Student has knowledge on principles and ethical norms necessary in pedagogical work with persons with disabilities. He knows and understands the role of Christian ethos into principles and ethical norms of a special educator and other persons working with people with disabilities - K_W19
2. Student has systematic knowledge about human integral development in life cycle in physical, intelectual, social aspects, taking into account students with special educational needs - K_W 71
3. Student has systematic knowledge on specific needs of persons with disabilities at school, at work, in family environment and in other educational institutions - K_W79

1. Student use basic theoretical approaches to analyse motives and patterns of behaviour of the persons with disabilities diagnosing and programing their educational career
