Cele przedmiotu
1. The student will acquire, develop and practice the knowledge, skills and competence necessary for in-depth scientific analysis and translation of literary texts.
2. The student will develop and expand their ability to use scientific terminology in the field of literary studies as applied to the analysis and translation of old and recent literary texts (poetry and prose)
3. The student will acquire in-depth skills of identifying and analysing social and historical mechisms and cultural phenomena depicted in literary texts.
4. The student acquire in-depth knowledge of the history of Dutch literature, its periodization, main trends, authors and works from the literary canon of the Dutch-speaking literary canon of the Dutch-speaking area.
Wymagania wstępne
1. Knowledge of Polish and Dutch at the level B2 of the CEFRL
2. Ability to analyse and translate literary texts in Dutch level of the Dutch Bachelor's examination in Dutch Philology Dutch Studies
3. An interest in literary studies and Dutch literature
4. Ability to read literary texts with comprehension, to produce academic written work in Dutch and to speak in discussions about literature.

SCIENCE
W_01 The student has in-depth knowledge of the place and significance of Dutch Philology in relation to other human sciences and about the subject specificity and to the programme documentation methodological history of Dutch literature and is able to creatively develop and apply this knowledge in professional activities
W_02 The student knows the terminology of Dutch literary studies at an extended level
W_03 The student is able to extend knowledge of terminology to other fields of language use (beyond philological terminology) acquiring a vocabulary specific to the literary works discussed for the literary works, scientific and popular science texts discussed
W_04 The student has in-depth knowledge within Dutch literary studies covering:
- the characteristics of the different stages of development of Dutch literature
within the scope of the course programme
- knowledge of the content of works, their ideological message, literary form, and artistic qualities
- awareness of problems of interpretation
- knowledge of terminology used in Dutch literary studies
W_05 The student has a structured knowledge of the works covered in the course programme, is aware of the social and cultural conditions of the genesis of these texts, is familiar with the mechanisms of their production and reception, is familiar with the methodological instruments enabling their interpretation, and is aware of the criteria for assessing their value
W_06 The student has in-depth knowledge of the connections of Dutch literary studies with other scientific disciplines in the humanities (especially linguistics and cultural and religious studies), allowing the integration of perspectives appropriate to several scientific disciplines.
W_07 The student has detailed knowledge of the main developments and most important
past and new developments in Dutch literary studies.
W_08 The student knows and understands advanced methods of analysis and interpretation of various literary texts related to the methodological approaches presented in class
W_09 The student knows and understands at an advanced level the historical character of the formation of selected traditions, theories or research schools in Dutch literary studies
W_10 The student has a basic knowledge of institutions (including libraries and digital
databases and repositories, e.g. Koninklijke Bibliotheek and Digitale Bibliotheek voor de Nederlandse Letterkunde) related to the cultivation of knowledge of Dutch literature.

SKILLS
U_01 The student demonstrates theoretical and practical knowledge of the Dutch language appropriate to the level of the second degree programme.
U_02 The student has in-depth research skills, including:
- the ability to analyse the work of other authors
- present a synthesis of various ideas and views on Dutch literary studies; and has in-depth translation skills, which he/she applies in order to produce a literary translation of a fragment/s of a selected Dutch-language work into Polish.
U_03 The student is able to select methods and construct research tools in order to solve problems in the field of Dutch literary studies and literary translation.
U_04 The student will be able to show interdependencies and connections between fields of study within Dutch literary studies and other fields within the humanities (especially linguistics and cultural and religious studies)
U_05 The student is able to detect complex relations between social and cultural processes and changes in literature within the scope of the material covered in the course programme, he/she is able to identify in detail the influence of Christian civilisation on the development of Dutch literature.
U_06 The student will be able to make a critical analysis and interpretation of different types of different types of literary texts (poetry, prose fiction, essays, scientific and popular writings) using original approaches in order to determine their meanings, social impact and place in the historical-cultural process; they will be able to produce a literary translation of a selected Dutch text into Polish, selecting grammatical, lexical and stylistic parameters in such a way that the resulting translation is functional and communicative.

K_01 The student understands the necessity of continuous activation and expansion of his/her competences in the field of Dutch literary studies.
K_02 The student understands the relationship between the quality and level of the completed translation project and his/her activity in class and his/her perception as a person by the outside world.
K_03 The student understands the applicability of research methodology in iteraturology in Dutch to solve problems in professional life.

Knowledge criteria:
for grade 2 - The student lacks basic historical literary knowledge to analyse the text(s) studied; for grade 3 - The student has general historical literary knowledge of the texts discussed and translated; for grade 4 - The student has structured historical literary knowledge of the texts discussed and translated; for grade 4: the student has a structured historical literary knowledge of the texts studied and translated; for grade 5: the student has a full historical literary knowledge of the texts studied and translated.

Skills criteria:
for grade 2: The student lacks basic skills in translating a literary text from Dutch into Polish; for grade 3: The student is poorly engaged in preparing tasks for the class and the translatology project, but has achieved basic skills in translating a literary text from Dutch; for grade 4: The student shows engagement in preparing tasks for the class and the translatology project, and has achieved sufficient skills in translating a literary text from Dutch; for grade 5: The student is creative, engaged and has achieved significant
skills in translating a literary text from Dutch.

Social competence criteria:
For grade 2 - Lack of class participation or an excessive number of unexcused absences (more than 2 times per semester), insufficient involvement in the presentation of knowledge and in group or individual work during class. Lack of involvement in own development; for grade 3 - Participates little actively in class. Minimal involvement in the presentation of knowledge and in group or individual work in class. Shows little commitment to personal development; for grade 4: The student actively participates in class and satisfactorily fulfils the requirements; for grade 5: The student shows additional commitment, frequently poses questions at an academic level and improves his/her academic competence; the student shows considerable independence and initiative in formulating research problems and postulates within the scope of the course programme.
